It’s hard to believe that it is almost February and our 2015 Truck Driving Championships are right around the corner.  We hope you are as excited about it as we are! 

We know how important this competition is to the drivers and companies who participate.  We do not take that lightly.  As your Association, we could not be more proud of our WV drivers and we strive for excellence when planning and executing this event.  However, we are human, and mistakes are sometimes made. Unfortunately, if we are not aware of a mistake, we can’t fix it.

As are reminder, below are some guidelines which were put into effect before last year’s competition:

  • First, Association staff will have no contact with drivers either before or after the competition.  We will only communicate through the safety directors of the respective companies. 
  • Second, if there comes a time during the competition, whether it be during the written test, driving competition or the pre-trip inspection, where an issue arises, the driver is to communicate the problem to their Den Mother, who then will communicate with the TDC Committee Chairman and staff.  Once the competition is over, it will be too late to address any issues. 
  • Third, all results from the competition will be certified by Association staff no later than the end of the second business day after the competition.  There will be no changes made after that time.

Enclosed you will find registration information for this event, which will be held June 20, 2015, at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virginia.  As a reminder, you must return a Driver Entry & Release form (TR-1-2), copy of drivers’ license and MVR for each driver competing from your company.

Early bird pricing for entry fees for drivers will be $125 per driver.  After April 1st, the fee will be $150 per driver. We will invoice you for these fees once we receive your registrations in the Association Office.
