Charleston, W.Va. (September 14, 2014) - The West Virginia Trucking Association (WVTA) announced today, that in honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) and Congressman Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) recognized the state's professional truck drivers with the presentation of mementoes of appreciation to WVTA chairman Daniel Harmon and president Jan Vineyard.
Senator Capito presented West Virginia's professional truck drivers with a flag that had been flown over the U.S. Capitol in their honor, while Congressman Jenkins presented the drivers with a letter of support and appreciation that was signed by all three members of the state's U.S. House of Representatives delegation.
"West Virginia's truck drivers and other industry professionals keep our economy moving. They are on the road 365 days a year moving the products that we use on a daily basis," said Daniel Harmon, chairman of the WVTA. "We are so appreciative of our drivers and are absolutely thrilled that Senator Capito and Congressman Jenkins joined us in supporting and celebrating a week dedicated to them."
National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 13-19, 2015, is when the nation and the state takes time to honor all professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in performing one of our economy's most demanding and important jobs. More than 34,000 trucking professionals in West Virginia keep our economy moving by delivering the food, raw materials, and other goods that we utilize in our everyday lives.

Hereby ORDERS use of the following described bridge be PROHIBITED to all trucks and other commercial vehicles exceeding the gross weight of 30,000 pounds:

Bridge No. 23-TMP/CW-0.01, on OTH TMP/CW, located 0.01 mile west of CR 110/7, spanning the Guyandotte River.
WIRT COUNTY, DISTRICT THREE:
Bridge No. 53-28-0.30 (6399), on CR 28, located 0.30 mile north of WV 14, spanning Conrad Run.
Hereby ORDERS the PROBHIBITION use of the following described bridge to all trucks and commercial vehicles exceeding the hereinafter specified gross loads of:
LEWIS COUNTY, DISTRICT SEVEN
TRUCK TYPES MAXIUM GROSS LOAD
